Anthony (better known as Tyres) has celebrated the birth of his young daughter in late June. I have no other details, but many guys at the club reckon she's gotta be called Yoko or Michelin. Don't know where they got that from Tyres - congratulations from all of us here anyway. We hope mum and baby are doing just fine!

The game was on. Then the game was off. Then it was six quarters of footy. Then just the four. Eventually common sense prevailed and a match was started and the format was left up to the footy gods to decide. A number of Supers players and some of the Masters helped out by playing for the Parrots, just to even up the game a little.

Some of the highlights included Monka's attempt at a drop goal which luckily sailed straight into Pip's arms only 10m away (nowhere near the supposed goal). Wayno's terrific effort with Bones in the bright orange, ensuring that everyone played by the rules.

Captain Crunch again rates a mention for his bump that he laid on PJ (who was playing for the Parrots at the time) in the 4th Quarter, which helped his funky bunch to take away a solid victory. Solid contributions made by Tails, Captain Crunch, Merlot and Pip.

That's right. Another team that is afraid to face the might of the Sunshine Coast Supers. Maybe next game someone will step up. Let's all hope so because 6 weeks without a game of footy is a long time for a footballer to wait!

It started as a fantastic day for a game of footy, but it didn't take long for the gray skies to put a dampener on the day for the Masters. A solid first quarter by both sides but ordinary checking and manning up by Suncoast allowed the Northern Stars into the match.

Solid ball movement and penetration from the Northern Stars half-back flank caused great difficulties for the Suncoast Masters. The absence of Marty in the forward line also restricted go-to options in the Suncoast forward line, with many potential shots on goal AWOL.

A pep talk from Pipes and some last minute moves by the coaching team at half time saw a refocused Suncoast take the field for the third quarter. Tails was at his scintillating best, consistently winning the hard balls. Further solid contributions from Pip, Monka, Thatch and Chrisso.

It has been almost six weeks since a number of the Supers boys have played a game and it showed. Pomona always turn up to play and today was no exception. With a few players short of a full team, Captain Crunch volunteered to play for the opposition along with Taz and Paulie.

Light entertainment was supplied by two separate incidents. A dummy spit from Botters late in the second quarter and saw the first 50m penalty of the day. The PJ vs Captain Crunch took a back seat when PJ pulled on the Pomona strip for the fourth quarter and took on Dickers. PJ realised that this was a mistake almost 30seconds later as he picked himself up off the turf.

Milesy did a fantastic job on the BBQ and Nipper was a solid performer behind the bar. Thankyou also to Marty who not only prepared the Northshore ground for the game, but also umpired both games on the day.
